downspout INTO gutter

because the gutter/downspout transition at the upper roof of my house was always overwhelmed during a heavy rain, i've added a second downspout to take some of the water load. this new downspout dumps out at a lower roof for now, but i want to extend it into the lower roof's gutter, to protect the shingling (the horizontal run is about 4 feet).

the vertical section of the downspout is connected to the building, but once i make the run along the lower roof, there wouldn't be a connection, until i get to the lower gutter.

is there a clip of some sort that would allow me to connect the downspout to the lower gutter, or do i just screw the elbow to the face of the gutter?

I would just get a piece of wire the wire the two together. You may need to move you downspout so I would not attach it permenent.
