If you weather is still warm & fairly sunney there is product you could use easily and cheeply. Your shingle must not be curled or buckled to recover.
Peel & stick is a good product for about $65 per 100 sq feet. Not recommended to go over existing roofing but I have often done this quite sucessfully. Torch down is even cheeper and can be done in cooler weather but experience is necessary.

More than likely your roof is leaking in an area associated with a valley, chimney, vent, skylight, missing shingle, or wall. If your roof is very low pitched it could be anything. In most cases leaking roofs can be fixed if no shingles are missing with either caulk or tar or both.
