Fascia and shingle strip

I have not installed the fascia or shingle strip to the subfascia but the roofer has completed his work and not left enough overhang for a shingle strip. Will it be ok to leave this off. I will be using Miratec 4/4 for the fascia board.

I've never heard the term shingle strip but I would assume you mean aluminum dripedge. If so, I believe dripedge is somewhat important.
If you can't get a T style in you might bend an L style with enough drop to get the water into the gutter. Your call.
