I can't get any help here, so, I am going back up on this roof later today with my sister. I was going to add another huge tarp, but I was thinking.....why not patch this metal roof. I have gringers, tools, even a metal cutting blade in the chop saw (if I can get to it, the shop is almost destroyed from the hurricane).
Seems like it makes sense to do temporary repairs with the same materials, right?
There are a number of holes, one large. The roof is steep, but I think I can do some of the work from the hole inside. Guess I ought to tie myself to the chimminy. How does one get the materials up on the roof? Pullys?
I realize that this does not sound like the best scenerio, but I have had people come and evaporate, say they are going to help....I just want to protect the interior of this sweet little house. It is taking in water and beginning to mold.
Thanks for any suggestions.

We could probably give you some advice to help you, but you did not give us any information except you have some holes in your metal roof, and you are going to try and fix them yourself. Good Luck. Don't fall off the roof. Now what we need is information. How old is your roof ? What kind of metal is it ? How big are the holes ? Is your roof steel, aluminum, galvanized ? What. How high is the eves of your roof off the ground ? what is the pitch of your roof ? What type or style is your roof ? These are the things we need in order to help you. We need accurate information. Thanks for asking, now we are asking back.
