Recently had a messy, slushy rain/snow/wind/melt event up here in NE. Climbed into attic to put away xmas decorations and decided to have a look around. It appears that after the above described weather event, there was some dampness around the rafters and roof boards on one section of the roof. The house is from 1985, the roof was re-shingled two years ago. There is no discoloration of the wood and no waterspots downstairs. I was wondering if there is any due diligence I should exercise in this situation or if its one of those situations of "in certain weather, any roof can get a little wet on the inside". Thanks.

I'm building a shed at my houseand I'm ready to install the roof, but I have no idea how to start, I'm thinhing using the roll not the shingles, it's a shed 40" by 18', what kind of paper should I use?, how to hold the paper with staples or nails?, how big the nails?, how much far apart the nails shoul be?, and those kind of questions, I have never installed a roof before, any ideas or suggestions?.
