Ceramic Roof repair
Hey guys,
Thank god I was spared with Hurricane Wilma but unfortunately it did some damage to my roof. The top tiles which fell can be easily fixed. The problem I have is with a piece of shingle in the middle of the roof. I can't lift it up because the top is nailed down. Since shingles are stacked, is it possible to do it myself or do I have to call a contractor to lift that whole section and restack all of it?
Attached are all the images.

Thanks in advance. Any suggestions will be helpful since I am clueless now.

You can fix it if you have a wonderbar. First just try breaking the cracked tile into little pieces you can remove. If this isn't working, try to work the wonderbar up under the higher tile to get at the 2 nails. You will be able to pry and wiggle the nails out. Be carefull how you pry as you don't want to break surrounding tiles. If you can get the new tile in by pounding on a wonderbar with the end positioned over the nail...great. If not, set the replacement tile in a bed of mortar.....cement, sand and bonding agent (instead of water).
Wish you luck,
Jim
