new type of rolled roofing

I have a very small section of my roof that is rolled roofing. It is very old and needs replacement. I was told though that now there is a new type of rolled rubber roofing that does not require to be blow torched down. Doesa anyone have any knowledge of this and the cost?

the only new type of flat roof material i have seen lately is the same as torch down modified but instead of torching it you peel and stick it.i would still prefer to torch down as when its hot you know for sure it isnt going to go anywhere.
