Is a leak barrier ok for the entire roof deck?

I'm planning to re-roof in the near future and plan to use GAF Timberline Ultra shingles. I live in the Southeast near the coast, and I'd like to use some kind of leak barrier as additional protection in case I lose shingles during a storm. My question is whether it's ok to use a leak barrier like Protecto-wrap or GAF's Stormguard over the entire roof deck, or could it cause problems with condensation or moisture by restricting the air flow to the roof deck? Also, if it's ok to use a leak barrier over the entire deck, should I also use a felt underlayment or something like Shinglemate? Thanks, Wally

Water-tight roof underlayments are recommended in your area over both ventilated and unventilated roof decks.

Do not apply full coverage Grace Ice & Water Shield over unvented spaces.....exception is when there is a vapor barrier of equal or greater perm rating, installed under the insulation.
