Leaking Carport

I have one of those garage buildings sided with corrugated aluminum panels. There's a carport attached which is covered with corrugated fiberglass panels. The guy who built this rig sealed the corrugated aluminum - corrugated fiberglass joint with roofing tar. Guess what happened....

Surprise, surprise. The structure supporting that joint is all rotten.

Here's my question: When I get the stuff repaired is there a better way to seal the huge gaps around those corrugations? A proper flashing job doesn't seem practical. There is a foam sealant material that comes in arisol cans. I wonder if that's suitable for this application.

Wink

If you mean to go across the corrugated roof Home depot and lowes Have a foam filler like that fits the corrugated you Can use under the flashing.

Here are some photos of the carport with the fiberglass panels removed.

The seal between the carport cover and the garage leaked and rotted the wooden support structure. You can see that flashing that joint is probably impractical. I'm looking for a better way to seal this joint than the roofing cement which failed.
