Leaf guard gutters in Minnesota

our house has a lot of trees, thus a lot of leaves in the fall and seeds in spring. Anyone have experience with using LeafGuard gutters in Minnesota?
worthwhile? any problems with ice?

thanxs again

My parents had them installed this spring. Happy so far, but obviously too soon to talk about winter ice.

They have a ice guard heater cable that you can use there for the gutters and the ice dam on the roof. The best gutter guard I have seen of late is like a flat plate cover that goes right to the edge of the gutter so leaves and stuff will go off it but right there is a drop down and the water goes down in the gutter. Home Depot and Lowes have them here.
