Gutter covers

Moved into a new house... with a lot of large trees (oak, maple, birch).. have had to clean out my gutters monthly thoughout the year and daily/weekly in the fall.

What are the best options for keeping my gutters clean? Trying to find a solution that won't break the bank.

Thank you!!
Scott

My parents installed Gutter Helmet this year - seems to work pretty well so far. Don't know what they paid.

Wink

Not cheap but there is a new one. It like covers the gutter and right at the edge is a slit for the water to go into the gutter . Might look at it Home depot and Lowes have it here.

gutter foam

My friend used gutter foam 1 or 2 years ago. He said it worked like a charm, so this year I decided to install. I used gutter champ; we both felt its the same stuff. This was less expensive than the gutter foam.

The cheapest option is to use the plastic covers found at a local hardware store. I used this three years ago. I installed the gutter champ becuse the plastic guards had become brittle and broke under the force of a falling stick causing a clog in the spout.
