Roofing

Try the roofing manufacturer's web site which made your shingles. They usually have installation instructions.

Pay for the tear off. It's usually cheaper then the dump bin rental fee and will save an inexperianced DIY'r several days of really terrible work.

I am about as "cheap" as you can get.. and have done re-roofs on 3 different homes. I've done everything from the tear off to the final finish.... and can attest to the previous post. Even if you have access to a decent sized trailer to haul those shingles to the dump, the fees/time/work is usually not worth it.
