I need to install a vent for a bathroom fan and i think i have to run it up through the flat rubber roof. Is this something your average moron can accomplish? I'm pretty sure i can cut the hole, but I have no idea what kind of vent (metal, plastic) or adhesive to use. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

actually I would skip the pitch. There are rubber pieces (parts) made just for this. It slips over the pipe and is tightened using a stainless steel band clamp.
It is the glued to the roof.
I don't know truly where to get the part but a roofing supply store would be a good bet. Whomever sells the stuff would best be able to advise you as to the correct cement to glue the vent seal onto the roof.
I see this type of thing all the time in commercial use. I would think if you can find a supplier, they could advise you to the correct procedure for gluing the thing together. Its not tough but I am sure there are correct prep procedures to follow to assure proper adhesion.
