roof painting

I currently have a flat concrete tile roof. I want to change the color of it and was wondering what the best way to do it is. It is currently white and i would like it to be terracota. Also what about sealing it. Is that just like a clear coat? is it needed after painting? Whats the best process? Thanks

Wink

The big box stores have the paint you are looking for. The paint will also help seal it at the same time. Not sure of the name been a while that I used it . look for COOL roof or COOL coat.

I'm not sure if the paint Ed's reffering to can be tinted. I'd go to a paint store, a knowledgeable paint rep should know which of their coatings would be best for you.

Close to 20 yrs ago I worked for a painting contractor in fla who built a new house with a tile roof. He got a deal on space shuttle reject tiles and we spray painted them after installation with a latex coating. I moved to tenn. a few years later so I don't know how well it held up.
