Hi While looking thru binoculars at my townhouse roof top from a distance i noticed that there are one or two shingle pieces (is that what the black sheets on the roof called?) might have comes off and i can see a green layer from underneath. My question is how big an issue is it? Handyman is charging minimum $100 to comeover for a check and $50 per hour. How much of a work would it be? Any help and suggestions would help me make a right choice. Any other things i should really take care of while at this, and also to make sure the guys does his work right? I have a super gutter that is made of asphalt. The length of this gutter is about 35 feet and there is a drain to a downsprout below at one end. The gutter is not sloped steep enough and there are a couple of "dips" along the way that mades puddles. I would like to recoat the gutter with some elastomeric coating, but I am trying to think of a way to see if I can "build up" one side of it and reshape the slope to make it smoother and steeper. I cannot think of a way to do that. I know there are rubberdized compound I can use to fill in the puddles, but I cannot think of a way to reshape the slope of the gutter. The only think I can think of is to apply the coating gradually and progressively. If I apply a complete coat first time, then from the drain I back of 1 foot, apply another coat from there to the beginning of the gutter, then back off another feet and repeat, then by the end I would have 35 coats on one end and one coat on the other. That would be very time consuming and extremely costly. Any thoughts and ideas? Thanks in advance, MC
