attic temp vs outside temp

What is acceptable for attic temp vs outside temp?

It was 92-93 yesterday and sunny and my attic was 135 by late afternoon. Wondering if this was acceptable.

I had the same problem you have. About a week ago I pulled all my eave vent covers off and made the holes bigger. It looked like the builder had just taken a hammer and made a 2" x 2" hole for all the 8" x 16" eave vents. I made all the holes 6" x 14". I also added 2 more vents. I also made sure I had enough exhaust vents on the roof. When I started it was 82 degrees outside and 124 degrees in the attic. I measured again 2 hours after I was done. It was 90 degrees outside and 98 degrees in the attic. That solved my problem pretty easily. It sounds like you probably have the same problem.
