installing a metal roof on a mobile home...
My mom recently had a metal roof installed on top of the existing shingles of her 16X80. The installer layered the sheets starting from the tongue end, meaning the seams are all facing the wind if ever moved.
I think the vinyl siding is always put on back to front so the seams face away from the towing end for the same reason.
When pointed out, this installer said it didn't matter which way it was put down. I think he f**ked up. Is there a definite standard?
Thanks for any help.....this looks like a cool forum.

Welcome to the forums!
It won't make any difference is the MH is never moved
Are there plans to move the MH at a later date? If so was the roofer aware of this?
Providing the roof is screwed down correctly, I don't think there would be a problem moving the MH especially if there isn't any long sustained speed involved.
