Gutter problem

Hi All,

This is my first post here. Looking for some ideas. I have a problem with the gutters on my home. The issue is that they were not installed correctly. They were installed to low below the roof apron and the fascia board so that water just runs behind the fascia board and goes behind the gutters. See a photo linked below.

I am thinking of getting some aluminum and mounting it under the roof apron and making it long enough so that it extends into the gutter. This should allow the water to flow into the gutter. Any other thoughts???

Thanks in advance.

You see it all sometimes. Didn't say these gutter guys were rocket scientists, did you? I would do as you plan, but really wrapping the fascia shadow board would be good, too. That way all the water would go into the gutter.
