Question New Carport roof: what materials?

Hi- I am rebuilding a carport roof (flat roof) basically from scratch.
All that remains is a new ledger board bolted into the garage and the other side support, also new lumber set into 42" cement footings.
The area is 11 X20. I plan on using 12' 2x8" 's 16" on center. my question is on the sheathing. I want to overbuild this thing, and use 3/4" tongue in groove OSB sheathing.
Home Depot & Lowes have it, but it's stamped "subflooring" can the same lumber be used for roofing? the only 3/4" "roofing" plywood they have is not tongue in groove and is actual plywood, not OSB.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks, Vince
also, any thoughts on the actual roofing material? is rolled roofing OK?

roofing's not my specialty,,,

however, concrete is,,, don't place any wood supports INTO concrete unless you also build in an easy way to replace the post bottoms when they rot,,, a vertical pin into your posts're ok IF the footer's domed OR you use a galv bracket to keep the wood OFF the ground,,, don't ask me how i know this - i just know !

Carport Roof

Check out AdvanTech 4x8 panels. Heavy to handle but long-lasting.

yep, i'm with you there. i'm not a concrete guy, but i did some research, and I poured it as you suggested. put in galvanized 4/6 post bracket(forgive my terminology, but yes I used the right material)
