Washing Exterior Gutter Surface

Has anyone found a good product to wash the exterior of white aluminum gutters? I have a customer with gutters that are almost black. I tried using Soft Scrub this afternoon. The gutters came clean but it took me about 20 minutes to clean a 4' section. I have about 80' feet total to clean.

Thank you.

I'd first spray them down with a bleach water solution - rinse before it dries. Then hand wash using most any cleaner - 409, grease lightning, etc.

The black is probably mildew which takes bleach to clean/kill.

Hi

I used a product called "streak getter gutter cleaner". I don't know if I can post the web site here or not, but you can probably find it with a Google search.

It's the best stuff I ever used. Takes those "tiger stripes" off with practically no effort. Pricey, but a little goes a long way.

Westley's Bleche-Wite is a whitewall tire cleaner (in a trigger sprayer, just like 409) that works like magic, with almost no effort required other than the wiping, rinsing, etc. Works for our gutters.
