gutter water not draining

I've got one gutter that will not drain because it is sloping slightly away from the downspout. I cannot add another downspout because it would come down to a sidewalk. Can I just pound in new gutter nails between the old ones to try to raise the end that is too low?

Not nails - use screws - they won't slip out.

The gutter should be continuously sloped toward the downspout. You may want to raise one end, or lower another, or both. Gutter brackets keep it from twisting away from the house.

In order to actually raise the gutter you would need to remove some of the existing spikes and ferrules, then the gutter will move.
