advice on metal roof coat/sealer

Hi all,

We have one section of metal roofing (18x20) on our home with significant leaks. We are planning a complete tear-off of the entire building, but would like to limp through until next year due to the financial component.

I'm interested in using fibrous asphalt fabric strips to help seal the seams along with some kind of roof coating. Are any of these products worthy of getting me through until next spring?

Thank you for any insight.

Welcome to the forums!

Using a membrane embedded in roofing tar should hold for several years. Depending on the size of the gaps, silicone caulk might be enough to get you to next spring.
