Broken Vent Pipe

Looking for suggestions repairing a broken vent pipe. We have a 12 - 12 pitch metal roof. An ABS vent pipe continues to break. The vent pipe is lower on the roof. Winter snows and ice slide down the roof and break the pipe. I've considered building a snow ladder above the pipe.. Is there a better way to solve this?

Thanks

If the snow is pushing that hard on the pipe id install one of these.

I'm not certain if it's the amount of pressure being applied, or maybe it's being slammed by sildes. The pipe is lower on the roof so there's good amount of snow and ice sliding down slamming into it.

Ice guards can be installed in several spots above the pipe. Not a bad idea to do whole roof that way.
