Re-using metal roofing?

I have been offerred a great deal on a slightly used, standing seam, single crimp, metal roofing. I am told it can be uninstalled and reinstalled without damage to the roofing. Does anyone know if this is true?

Welcome to the forums!

What do you plan to roof with this metal?
If the metal is fairly straight, it can be reused but special attention needs to be paid to the seams to insure a weather proof fit.

If this metal hasn't been unistalled yet - don't pay until after it's unistalled and you can inspect the metal.

Thanks for responding marksr! We took a look at this roofing which had already been removed, and the quality was not very good. We were planning to re-roof our house with it. We told the guy "no thanks!" Thank you for responding!
