Flashing a dormer without eaves

We have a 1.5 story cape cod all vinyl siding, with a dormer upstairs for the bathroom and bedroom closets ( the bedrooms have no dormer, just a kneewall and slanted ceilings). Well for some time we have had a water leak along the dormer and ending up in our bathroom wall, last month we had a new roof put on and I made it clear that the leak was an on ongoing probleman that even if it meant removing the siding and reflashing the whole dormer I wanted it done and would be happy to pay for it.
Well they half A** inserted some flashing and to make a long story short it leaks worse now than it did before. It seems more difficult to keep water out because there are no eaves anywhere on the house and where the dormer starts on the roof it seems they put no flashing but I cannot tell because they caulked along the siding channel there.

Should I have someone come out and pull all of the siding off the dormer and reflash everything? I am going to call the roofer but I have a feeling that his answer will be more caulk, this doesn't seem correct to me.

Why do they build houses without eaves? I will never buy another one again.

Google 'window Flashing'. You might find the answer there.

Sorry about your trouble! If I understand your troubles. You might want to check where the valley ends; where the fascia from the dormer hits the main roof of the house; this is always a problem, might not be the valley flashing at all if this was never taken care of when the roof was installed. leaks can come from places away from where you see the inside your home. hope this helps you!
