Please help!!!

I know my shingles need replacing about 1 yr ago. I do not know the last time that they were replace but I do know that I went up into the attic today while it was raining and I have a big problem. Water is just pouring in through were the pieces of sheathing meet. I knew it was bad but didnt think it was this bad. Unfortunantly I cant afford to have new shingle installed right now and I dont know enough to diy. last we were estimated was around 2500 and that was the cheapest. is there anything i can do to stop the leaks (tarp it, I have about 2 bundles of shingles in my shed can I use those.) ANY info would be great it will not make it through this winter as is, and hopefully the sheathing has not rotted or worse the beams that the sheathing is on.

Photos would help us assess your situation. Post photos on Photobucket and give us the link address. Tarps are a temporary solution when fastened down properly.
