Hi Donna,

The first thing you need to do is clean around the areas you will be treating. Use a pressure washer to clean and break up any loose cracks and debris. Where the wall meets the yard dig out the area a little bit and clean the area. Allow 24-48 hours to dry.

Secondly, apply a foundation coating using a brush or roller, and make sure all pores are filled and sealed. Allow 24-46 hours to cure. I recommend using Black Jack 6190 Foundation Coating. The Black Jack 6190 is a Liquid Asphalt coating that works great for waterproofing foundations. This website will tell you how much you will need and where you can buy.

After the coating has cured, you will need to product the coating with a layer of asphalt felt paper or insulation sheeting against the wall. This will make the waterproofing last longer.

Hopefully this helps.
