Where is water comeing from??
Hello...we have a bi-level built in 62...we have not moved in yet...when we purchased the home it had been empty for at least 2 years. The house smelt like a combo of animal pee and cig smoke. The neighbors said that yes they thought the dog peed in the house. So anywho there was a large dark spot on the hardwood in the living room and on the sheet laminate by the door. We sanded, and bleached the hard wood and removed the old laminate and that helped get reid of the smell. Now after a heavy rain i have small puddles in these two places that i thought were damaged from animal pee. My celleings are dry...my basement is dry...the area is not againt a wall...where is this water comeing in from....?

Are there light fixtures in the ceiling near these puddles?
Is the wiring to these run in conduit?
Maybe the conduit has a break somewhere and the rain enters it and drains out of the ceiling lights.
Just a guess.

aww...i wish it was that simple....no lighting fixtures in the living room at all...and the one in the enrty area not run in conduit....any other ideas.....
