Hi: One top part of the roof started to leak after very unusual weather pattern in the region where I live,.... earthquake, several days' torrential bucketful type of rain and hurricane that all occurred for the past two months. The leak comes from one big nail that penetrating directly from the roof. I suspected it on earthquake or torrential/bucketful rain. Either way, my concern is how to keep it from getting worse. Because, roofing co is so busy to come to my house for whole roofing job, saying that 700 customers are ahead of me. All other roofing Companies are the same, ... not able to take another call. Then, I have no choice but to wait until Xmas or even early Spring for whole roofing repair. My question is; As mentioned above, that tiny leak coming from a big nail penetrating directly from the roof. It's only one spot of leak and I keep a bucket to catch a leak. :( However, until next Spring, Is there a way to keep that tiny leak from getting worse, because winter is near?:confused: Any help on this would be truly appreciated. Older mobile home with the almost flat metal roof. Hate painting the edges every year. I keep thinking this ice and water shield, the stuff with the sticky back, would work great. Cover within 30 days.[/I][/B] So, thinking of getting the 9" stuff, put on the outer edge where it wants to leak, and paint over it with the silver fibered coating. It does say:[B][I] Low temperature flexibility Unaffected @ -20°F [/I][/B] So, I'm just not sure if it would stay down, even being painted over with the silver stuff. Think it would stick? Thanks
