Painting the roof

I just came back from Home Depot, they are selling Tarnak (I forgot the brand, but I believe that's what it said) it says each gallon covers 100 sqf, my roof is about 1100 that means I need roughly 10-11 gallons. There are 5 gallon tanks I can buy at $100 each, but I could not find any tutorial, video, etc about painting the roof. My roof is flat, and it is like sheets of asphalt pieces stitched/glued together, but it is black. I asked if I could make it White, they said there is only Black and Silver..

Any help is appreciated.

While I have a lot of experience with painting metal roofs, I'm not familiar with Tarnak. Is it the recomended coating for your type of roof? What does the label say?

I would assume that you would just roll it on after making sure the roof is relatively clean.

I should talke some pictures and post. The only recommendation I had was from Home Depot guy who asked me what I have on my roof and I pointed at those rolls of sheets they had which looked like my roof.
