Seamless Gutters?

I'm in the planning stages of putting gutters on our home. I've been going back and forth with the idea of doing it myself and getting it done. I hear seamless is the way to go, but is it really that much better than buying 10ft sections and doing it myself? Everyone I talk to says that it'll leak and it won't look good if I do it myself.

I guess I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this.

IMO if you can afford the seamless - that's the best way to go. If you can't, then diy is a viable alternative. I went the diy route on my shop [just did 1 side] but they were short runs because the wall juts out. One 10' wall and a 15' wall with the downspout at the end of a 10' section. I would think you could get a decent looking job as long as you didn't have any real long runs. Even though the gutters are light it's nice to have a helper when hanging it.

Yah, going with the seamless. Price difference didn't justify the time and effort. Plus, it'll be the color of my wife's choosing.
