how to install a thru roof bathroom fan

We have asphalt shingles on the roof and I am thinking to install two bathroom ceiling vent fans. Is there any illustrations available showing the proper way to do this????

Bathroom fans are usually installed just above the ceiling, not on the roof. Do you have a model of roof mounted vent fan in mind? We could look and may can give better advice. I don't recommend high velocity fans to evacuate odors or moisture. They will move too much conditioned air at the same time. I installed one for a customer over her stove. It moved 800cfm. It would suck a cat up if it walked over the stove. She hated cooking odors. No noise, however, because the unit was on the roof.

Yes yes yes thank you very much
I have a fan in the bathroom now and the duct just dischages into the attic crawl space. I think installing a through the roof vent is a better and safer idea.
