rain on unfinished roof

rain on unfinished roof

the roofing contractor states the roof is water tight w/ only the black roll paper on it while it is expected to ray today all day and they are not able to put asphalt shingles today, is there any thing to worry and how log should they way for the drying

I dont see why not. But keep an eye out. Id give it a day, maybe a half a day if in the direct sunlight.

thanks what if possiblity of freezing over night and small chance of snow tonight.

The felt paper can be exposed for several weeks with no degredation, as long as the wind does not rip it, you will be fine.

the felt paper does not have to be 100% dry before installing the shingles on it.
