Gutters first or paint first?

I want to have gutters installed on my home and I'd also like to have my entire exterior painted a different color than what it is currently. I'm curious if it's easier to paint the exterior first then pick a color of gutter as close to the new house color or should I install the gutters first then just paint everything at once?

It would be best to pick your color based on the gutter selection.
That said, there is no better time to prime/paint behind the gutter than when it's removed or before installation.

Thanks for the info! I figured it would be easier with no gutters, but wasn't sure how easy the aluminum "paintable" gutters would be to paint.

Aluminum gutters paint well, just be sure they are clean. That includes any oil that might be on them from the manufacturing process. It wouldn't hurt to mix in a little emulsa bond to the 1st coat of paint you apply on the new gutters. Emulsa bond helps with adhesion.
