roof sheathing minimum and best choice

In Oakland county Michigan on a 3.5:12 pitch truss roof.I want to replace the original 3/8 plywood.What is the minimum legal replacement size sheathing to use?What are the better and best replacement sizes and types to use?

Welcome to the forums! 3/8" that's thin. Replace it with 1/2 or preferrably 5/8" minimum.

I believe chandler is right and code around here has been upped to 1/2" thickness. And I believe this is for rafters spaced at 24". 5/8" is better.

If you are, in fact, in Oakland county, Michigan, your annual snowfall is 40 - 60". With your shallow pitched roof, go with at least 5/8" sheathing.
