Vinyl vs. aluminum

I am building a new home and am subbing out most of the big work. When it comes to the gutters, I feel like that is something I can handle with my friends. I was wondering if anyone has any input on vinyl vs. aluminum gutters. Vinyl is about 30% cheaper, but I would think aluminum has a longer life. I live in east central Colorado, so we get our share of snow. Any input is appreciated!

IMO, vinyl is DIY / homeowner garbage. I would not even consider it. They are usually smaller and handle less volume as well.

Yeah vinyl can handle a soccer ball or any direct impact and not dent,
I almost pounced on vinyl for that reason alone. But unfortunately I've heard that it loses that ability over time, and actually becomes brittle.

Kind of like vinyl siding, which- after a hail storm- looks like someone opened fire on the house with an AK-47 assault rifle.
