Membrane roof over on manufactured home
Planning to have a membrane roof over installed on my manufactured home in Florida. There seems to be two types offered, “PVC with DuPont Elvaloy” and “Firestone TPO”. Are there any other types? What are the pros and cons of the A/M membranes?

TPO roof
We use the Firestone TPO membrane roofing here in the CO rockies. It holds up great to the intense sun and snow load. It is also white and that should be a bonus for the FL sun! Not sure if you are going over and existing membrane roof? Would not recommend it. TPO likes clean new plywood to bond to. Just pick a contractor with lots of TPO knowledge.
Best of luck

Thanks for your come back. It will be installed over a painted flat galvanized steel roof with insulation screwed on top. The roof is beginning to rust under the paint. The new membrane roof over will be held down at the perimeter of the roof.
