Venting options for a soffit-less roof

I have a georgian style house with a pyramid roof. It has no soffits. I'm going to be getting a new roof soon and would like to find out some good options in terms of venting. I'm thinking of going with a solar attic fan, but can't seem to find info on how vents would be incorporated to provide make-up air (again, no soffits).

Any suggestions?

The solar attic fans are a joke. I would not waste the money. The have low CFM.

They make HIP vents for your roof. Just make sure the roofer has intalled them. They are different then the ridge vents and must be installed correctly.

You could look into a product like cor-a-vent, which allows you to cut vents into the lower portions of the roof to give you perimeter intake ventilation. You shingle over the cor-a-vent and it pretty much disappears.
