best type of sump pump discharge
should I buy smooth piping or ribbed? Can anyone provide me with a link specific to what is best?

Based on experience, the smooth PVC is superior.
1. Usually installed without dips or bellies. - Important in cold climates where freezing may be a problem.
2. Will carry more water faster for the same diameter ans slope.
3. Can easily have a "Y" installed to use 2 pop-ups.
Disadvantage:
1. Costs more, as is common with better products.
2. Slower to install, but not a big factor for a DIYer with "freee" labor.
