Flooded Walkway

Hello,

When we get a lot of rain (as we always do this time of year), my front walk way floods a little bit. If it floods enough, the puddle backs up to the foundation of the house and we sometimes get a little bit of water inside the house.

The problem is probably because the flower bed is mounded up next to the walk way so the water doesn't really have anywhere to go.

Could I fix this problem simply by running some 1.5 or 2 inch PVC pipe though the flower bed? I'd run it as low as possible - maybe just above the pavement level and angle it down slightly so the output is lower than the input.

Is there a better solution?

Thanks!

Sounds like a plan. As long as the other side is lower it should drain. If it works, you will need to make sure it doesn't get clogged up with debris. Let us know how it goes.
