Leaking slate roof

Question

I bought a 3 family house in need of major repair none that was automaticaly noticeable until you tried to make things nice for yourself.Latest upset: A leak from my my slate roof going down the walls from the third floor into the cieling of my bedroom on the second floor which is about to fall itself (might be my next Question).How do I locate the leak and repair it myself?Is it even possible to do myself?

Wish I could say go for it but slate roof need very special care when you work on them...they break when you look at then and you can not always find repasement tiles.
Find several SLATE rof contractors and have them look ate fthe problem area, here what each has to say and learn about slat roofs from them do not let them know that you have no experiance with them. It could be that one tile has slit or is cracked and most slate contractors can see a bunch from the ground slate is a very good, long lasting roof so it is well worth a little help to keep it is good shape....
