roof mold (discoloration)
Our roof- and many many more in the region- suffer from having dark stains on the north facing sides. I don't want to destroy my roof by pressure washing it or brushing some product into the shingles...I assume that either of those will remove the shingle 'particles'.
Is there any product that sprays on, kills/ removes the mold, then rinses off with a regular hose?
(maybe it's just a pipe dream)

They use this type product in my development. The roofs face North and looked exactly like the pictures. There are many venders that sell it. I think even the home stores might have it now.

Mike, not a bad solution, and very inexpensive. $1 a foot for the 3.5" stuff. $150 would probably do a complete roof, both sides, if you wanted. North side alone, half that.

If you visit the "This Old House" site you can search roof mold and find a video with Tommy Silva installing zinc strips to solve a mold problem.
