My bedroom roof is made of concrete and sloped at an angle 32degree facing the West. In summer the room heats up to alarming levels. Is there any cost effective solution to reduce the radiation of heat or even prevent it.
Can I use asbestos over the roof to provide insulation? Or is there any compound that I can paint?

Some type of aluminum roofing paint to reflect the sun may help. What about building a frame and cover it with something that will block the sun and shade the cement. Leave an air space so heat will not be trapped.
