Replace spikes with screws, or hidden hangers? Which flashing/drip edge type?

Cost-aside, what is the better way to go? I have spikes (nails) right now. Local store carries screws (same size as spikes basically, with bushings), and they also have hidden hangers.

Do hidden hangers also need to be screwed into the end of the rafter through the fascia board, or are they fine just going into the fascia? This isn't drywall, how do you locate where the rafter ends are?

Also, I noticed a few different styles of drip edge. How do I know which I need?

Thanks.

Hangers

The screws will use the same holes as the spikes. If you use the concealed hangers, the spike holes will still be there. Also, the concealed hangers go down inside the gutter and are somewhat of an obstruction when cleaning the gutters.
