We are building storage shed.
A friend is giving away used galvanized roofing.
It has screw holes on every 12 inches or less...
can we reuse these roofing?
if yes How can we patch these holes?
Also can we put these 2.3" x 12' galvanized roofing panels directly on rafters?

It's best if you can reuse the holes to secure the panels to the roof...... but that rarely works out
I usually caulk the holes although you could plug the holes with screws.
The metal can't be attached directly to the rafters, you'll need to install 1xs across the rafters to support the metal. Depending on the thickness of the metal the spacing for the 1xs will vary - every 16" if the metal is fairly stout, 12" if it's not.

If the holes are 3/16" or less marine grade pop rivets might do the trick. Marine Pop Rivets « The ACK Blog!
