Water penetration on upper wall

Our house is fairly new (14 yrs old) but I started getting water penetration on one spot on the middle of the wall of my bathroom. The bathroom is on the upper floor. We have pvc siding on the exterior which faces the next house (so can't say the rain forces through). I suspect water can be coming elesewhere but eventually ends on that spot? Would anybody have some ideas? Thanks ahead!

Is the damp area on the outside wall? Is this a gabled end where you could get a look see in the attic? Is there any plumbing or a window on this wall?
