Help me identify this Soffit Screen
House was built in 1980 and has continuous linear metal screen for the soffits around the entire house. It is 2 1/2" with a flange on both sides. I have some bad sections where it is torn or corroded out and I cannot seem to find anything that will match the honeycomb type hole pattern. I am not about to replace the entire houses soffit and piecing in something different will look terrible.
Any ideas of what to do or where to find something very similar would be appreciated.

I just picked up something very similar from the orange box store, plastic with flanges each side, but only 2" wide. Very inexpensive so maybe you could replace a longer section and just leave the 1/8 inch gap on each side.

Yeah I have seen what you got. Problem is that this is right at the front door and will be obvious if not a close match. If it was metal then I could make a 3" piece fit by reforming it.
Thanks for the response.

The flange on mine looks to be about 1/4" in depth. If your soffit material is the same, then you could caulk the small gap.
Another approach would be to replace a section somewhere less visible and steal that piece for the front door area. Or replace a length at the front door that balances left to right, like it was designed that way.

Considered all the things you mentioned. If I could just match the hole pattern with metal of any size larger than 2 1/2", then I could make it fit. Even considered 3" plastic and cutting back the opening along the whole front.
Just haven't given up finding it somewhere yet.
