Leak in new room conversion

Hi,
I have converted a screened porch into a room and I have a couple leaks(which I KNEW about but finished the job). On the outside I have no overhang to speak of, gutter actually sits 1 1/2 inches in from outside wall. When heavy rains come water overflows the gutters and runs down the walls on the outside.
So I am assuming the fascia isn't out far enough and water is seeping in between the siding. I am considering extending the roof and fascia out at least a foot. If I do this can I roof just at the extended part (and how would I do it!) or should I roof the entire side all over again?

Or any suggestions on what is causing the leak?

Live in NJ and a monster rain storm predicted for tomorrow and I work in Maryland. Can't be there to do anything. Sucks.

...ar

IMO it is a pretty safe bet that if you extend the roof, you will have to tear off some of the existing shingles in order to weave the new shingles into the old shingles.

Whether or not you reroof the entire thing probably depends on if you can match the existing shingles or not.

Again, I'm not at home right now. In MD at work. Don't have a picture handy. Will post one Friday.
