Connecting HDPE drain pipe to PVC fittings

Has anyone had any experience with this?

I am constructing a French Drain and I bought perforated and solid HDPE pipe and PVC fittings for it at my local HD. I believe that the common Cleaner, Primer, and Glue used to attach PVC will not work to connect rigid HDPE drain pipe to PVC fittings.

It's going to be a common drain with drainage stones and filter fabric around it and I'm wondering since I want the seepage out of the pipe if I could use stainless steel screws at the connections. I only need to hold it together if the earth might settle and shift even after I tamp it down.

eHow is showing a specific epoxy process to glue HDPE but I'm not sure if that's for HDPE to HDPE only. Anyway it looks too involved and unnecessary for this application.

I'll try to contact the manufacturer tomorrow to see what they recommend. Thanks in advance for any info.

The Poly-Pro is an epoxy.
I called Oatey Tech Support this morning and they manufacture a lot of adhesives for pipe but was told that they make no adhesive for HDPE.

I have run a few short drain lines in the past and they were shallow so I just slid the pipe and fittings together without glue but on one run of this job the excavation is deep and I want to be sure that the line stays connected after it's buried.

Should Fascia companies use ladders

Hi, we are looking at having our gutters & fascias replaced. I have had a few quotes (All very different). One company (Fascia Wise) have quoted us who seem quite cheap compared to others. But ive seen them working on a couple of houses on the estate and the use ladders not scaffold. Ive been told it is my responsibility as the house owner to make sure anyone working on my house uses the correct safety/access equipment. Does anyone know wants the correct way? Thanks

Here is the long story short. I have an add-on room that was poorly constructed by a previous owner 30 years ago. They turned the patio, which used 8' galvanized steel roof panels, into an enclosed climate controlled room. Insulated the ceiling, the walls, everything. In doing so the housing code considered it as physical square footage to the house. Now that I have ownership, all the problems come crashing down on me. If I don't fix the room it diminishes the value of my house significantly. It had almost as many leaks as it does years on it. I spent around $200 in roofing tar on the roof and patched everything. So I thought, but that's another story. Essentially, i've come about 95% of the way to being leak free in that room. With this being said, I want to put on a new roof on top of the existing one. Yea I know: "why when you've done the patch work." Half the reason is because the wife wanted an extra "layer" of protection and the other half because this is simply a band-aid job. It will leak again and I don't want to put up brand new drywall and have it leaking on me again. So, here is my dilemma.
