I have veiwed your video for replacing asphalt shingles,however, I have slate shingles and need information for replacement of damaged & missing slate
shingles.

Roof Repairs in the Cold

First time user and not-that-handy of a man. Need to replace a few shingles that have blown off my roof. Got the instructions from the site on how to do it. Only question is that after I relpace them, what should I do about the shingles sticking together? I know that if it was warm weather they would stick together pretty easily, but in late Feb/early March that won't happen. Anyone with suggestions let me know. Thanks. Read More

OSB vs plywood?

I am sure this is a perennial question on this site but I need to know. I live in Seattle and we have a fairly moist climate. I have heard that OSB has a tendancy to phantom edge. That the edges tend to absorb moisture and puff up. I also read that plywood is able to shed moisture faster and is less likely to mildew in these conditions. Pearls of wisdom anyone? Read More
